Iain McLennan

Iain has over 25 years’ experience in business recovery and insolvency.

The best days in his professional life are when distributions are being paid to creditors. He is a licenced Insolvency Practitioner accredited by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and a member of NZCFI (The New Zealand Credit and Finance Institute) and GRIP.

Iain has extensive experience in technical liquidations and receiverships for companies in a wide variety of industries including finance, e-commerce, software development, property development and construction, and manufacturing. He has successfully provided advice to numerous liquidators on recovery actions, particularly actions against directors involving fraud and reckless trading.

Iain has also conducted investigations and has provided expert evidence in cases of suspected corporate fraud and in matrimonial proceedings.

Potentially most importantly in the 2017 economic environment, he has significant experience providing “work out” and recovery advice as an alternative to the formality of receivership/liquidation.
